Second Week of 2009 Season
Sunday, May 17, 2009

After an absolutely terrible weekend of weather keeping most in their cabins for 2 days we are having a wonderful Sunday after a few nice hours on Saturday evening. Last night the crappies finally showed up while the walleye bite stayed strong. As an added bonus we are also seeing nice sized perch being caught. Most walleye are still being caught in the 8 to 12 feet range but are seeing a decent amount caught in 16 to 20 feet. Several groups reported today that shiners and rainbows are productive but can't get a bite on a fathead! Go figure? A couple did try leeches with some success but not more productive than jig and minnows. Labels: Second Week of 2009 Season
